Went to go train someone how to do my job (dash wiring). Now I’m just going back to do it for them. Nobody likes dash wiring. Stopped at big Al’s body shop and took pics of something cool for you: A 62 ford unibody n raspberry.

That’s a pretty sweet truck.
Can’t haul anything in it, but who would use this to haul at this point anyhow?
(I did pass a never stopped being in use 70's Dodge pickup at Home Depot last night as it was being loaded up. Was awesome)

Depending on the engine - leave the radio off
I haven’t turned the radio on in my Montego since I upgraded the exhaust

six with three on the floor, what’s in your montego? I’m looking forward to terrorizing the neighborhood with my cleveland.

the radio usually stays off in older stuff, just so you can hear the newest sound before it becomes a problem. always listening for THAT change.

5.0 upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer RPM and a 4 barrel holley (original was 2 barrel). Then I put on true dual (was originally single) flowmaster Super 44's
Sounds like this (skip ahead to about 44 seconds to hear the upgraded exhaust):

Haha. For me it’s normally overheating not making a sound I don’t want to hear.
I wouldn’t put it past it, but god damn it’s exhaust is magnificent.

sounds good. what are those? 2 1/4s out the back?
just keep the car on the open road so it stays cool. and tap on the gauge, if you trust the gauge. a cooler thermostat isnt too much.

Coolant leak is the problem. It has a cooler thermostat, upgraded to a 4 core radiator, upgraded to a high flow water pump, replaced upper/lower radiator hoses and heater hoses just to be safe.....all to find out it has rusted out freeze plugs.
they’re 2 1/2. Flowmaster Super 44's, stock manifolds.

oh. those are a PAIN, if you can even get to them while its in the car.
you gonna band-aid it and get the rubber screw-in ones, or spend for the brass ones?................. spend the money once, and forget about it
![]() 01/14/2016 at 16:46 |

I’d rather do the brass, but I think the motor’s gotta come out. I was hoping it would be ANYTHING but the plugs

I’d gladly listen to that!

Another fun game with classic cars is “what’s burning” or “is that smoking more than usual?”

Nissan colour I think.

that is one of the best. brakes or clutch? is it electric, no flickering lights, not sweet like antifreeze, not brown like trans, dont see flames coming from under the hood. fun for the whole car. bonus points awarded if you guess correctly before youre stuck walking.

keep a close watch. it can from a slow drip to pouring out uncontrollably without much warning. those old 5 gallon ozarka bottles are your friend.
![]() 01/14/2016 at 19:45 |

just dont fill it on the side of the road IMMEDIATELY after its gotten hot. youll crack something important. block. heads.

Yeah I am, I’m not driving it anywhere until this situation is handled anyhow. I don’t drive it in winter months anyhow, I even drop down the insurance to keep me from getting over excited and taking it out on a nice day lol.
